How to make a class reunion yearbook everyone adds to
The easiest way to make a reunion yearbook is to let every classmate add themselves: share one link, have each person upload a current photo, their name and a short quote, and collect the pages in one place. Yrbk does this from ChatGPT: the organizer starts the book, classmates join on the web with no account, everyone votes on kind superlatives, and the finished book is laid out page by page, with printed copies coming soon.

Steps
- Start the book. In ChatGPT, say “Let's make a yearbook for our 10-year class reunion.” Yrbk creates the book and a join link.
- Send the link. Post it in the class group chat or email it. Classmates open yrbk.ambientapp.ai from the link and add a photo, their name as it should print, and a quote.
- Approve each person. You see everyone who joins in the card and approve them, so only your classmates end up in the book.
- Add then-and-now portraits. Share an old photo and ask ChatGPT for a yearbook-style portrait; Yrbk puts it in the book under that person's name.
- Vote on superlatives. Pick kind ones like Most likely to travel the world or Best storyteller. Classmates vote from their own pages; nobody sees counts.
- Reveal. Before the reunion, close voting to reveal the winners. The book is final; share the pages on the night.
What to put in it
- A current photo or a retro portrait of each classmate
- A quote: a memory, a motto or what they're up to now
- Superlatives, voted by the class
- Signature pages at the back for the night itself
Ways to make a group yearbook
There's no single right tool. Here is how the common approaches differ for a group where everyone contributes.
| Yrbk | Shared slides or doc, then a print shop | Photo-book maker | School yearbook service | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Who adds the photos | Each member, from the join link | Anyone with edit access | Usually one person uploads everything | The school's yearbook team |
| Accounts for members | None | Often a Google or Microsoft account | Only the person making the book | Families order online |
| Superlatives voting | Built in: positive only, winners revealed at the end | By hand (a form, then copy the results) | By hand | Varies by school |
| Retro portraits | Made by ChatGPT and dropped in by name | By hand | By hand | School photographer |
| Copies | A page-by-page preview; printed copies coming soon | You print and hand out | The maker orders copies | Families order their own |

Use it in ChatGPT
Yrbk Group Yearbook is a ChatGPT plugin. The organizer types one of these; members join at yrbk.ambientapp.ai from the link:
- “Let's make a yearbook for our 10-year class reunion”
- “Make me a 1990s yearbook portrait from this selfie and add it to our Yrbk”
- “Close voting on our yearbook and tell me the winners”
Questions
How early should we start?
Three to four weeks before the reunion gives people time to join and vote.
What if someone doesn't want to be in it?
Then they simply don't join. Anyone who did can remove themselves at any time from their personal page.
Can classmates who don't use ChatGPT join?
Yes. Only the organizer uses ChatGPT; everyone else uses the join link in a browser.
Can we include people who have passed away?
The organizer can add a member with a photo from ChatGPT, and write a note on the second page.
