A yearbook for your group, started in ChatGPT

For a class, a reunion, a team or a club. Share one link: everyone adds a photo, their name and a quote, and votes on kind superlatives. Close the vote, see the winners, and page through the finished book.

How it works

  1. Start it in ChatGPT

Say “Let's make a yearbook for our class reunion.” You get a join link and a card to manage the book.

  2. Everyone joins by link

Members open yrbk.ambientapp.ai from the link, with no account: a photo, their name, a quote. You approve each person.

  3. Vote and reveal

Members vote on superlatives from their own page. Close voting to reveal the winners. Printed hardcover copies are coming soon.

Retro portraits, made by ChatGPT

Ask ChatGPT for a 1970s, 1980s, 1990s or 2000s yearbook portrait from a selfie, and Yrbk puts it in the book. Pick an era look for the whole book and every photo gets the same treatment, so phone selfies and ChatGPT portraits sit together.

Superlatives that are kind

Positive only, never about looks. A few from the list:

  • Most likely to start a business
  • Most likely to travel the world
  • Most likely to write a bestseller
  • Most likely to win a Nobel Prize
  • Most likely to become a teacher
  • Most likely to invent something
  • Most likely to save the day
  • Most likely to remember your birthday
  • Most likely to run a marathon
  • Most likely to start a band
  • Most likely to be on a stage
  • Most likely to cheer you up

Nobody sees vote counts. Winners appear only when the organizer closes voting; a tie shares the title.

Questions

Do members need ChatGPT or an account?

No. Only the organizer uses ChatGPT. Everyone else opens the join link on their phone or computer, adds a photo, their name and a quote, and votes. There is no account.

Where do the retro portraits come from?

From ChatGPT's own image tools: ask it for a yearbook portrait of your photo in the style you like, and Yrbk puts that image in the book. Members can also upload any photo of themselves. The book's era theme gives every photo the same look.

Are the superlatives kind?

They are positive only and never about looks: things like Most likely to start a business, Best laugh or Biggest heart. Yrbk turns down titles about appearance, bodies, dating or put-downs, and nobody ever sees vote counts, only the winners once voting closes.

Who sees the photos?

The organizer sees everyone who joins and approves each person. Approved members see the book. Yrbk never sends members' photos to ChatGPT.

Can everyone get their own printed copy?

Printed hardcover copies are coming soon: each member will be able to order their own copy from their page. Until then you can page through the finished book.

Who is it for?

Classes, reunions, teams, clubs and other groups. Yrbk is for ages 13 and up; teens should check with a parent or guardian before adding a photo.
