Privacy policy

Yrbk ("we") is made by The Open Apps, Inc. (Delaware, United States). Yrbk lets an organizer start a group yearbook in ChatGPT, lets members join it on yrbk.ambientapp.ai by link, and prints the finished book. This policy explains what we collect, why, who receives it, how long we keep it and how you control it. Contact: yrbk@ambientapp.ai (email only).
What we collect

We don't collect accounts, passwords, contacts, chat history or precise location. We don't use cookies for tracking, show ads or sell data. Photos are not used to recognise faces, and no face data is computed.
Who receives it
- Other members of the same yearbook see approved members' names, quotes and photos, and the winners once voting closes. The organizer also sees people waiting for approval.
- OpenAI (ChatGPT): when the organizer uses Yrbk in ChatGPT, tool results tell ChatGPT the book's title, member names, superlatives, winners and the join link. Images that ChatGPT hands to Yrbk come from your ChatGPT conversation. Names, quotes, the yearbook's title, subtitle and note, superlatives and photos are sent to OpenAI's moderation service to check they are suitable before they are saved; OpenAI's API doesn't use this data to train models by default. We never send members' photos into ChatGPT conversations.
- Hetzner (Germany) hosts our servers. Cloudflare answers DNS for our domain; traffic doesn't pass through it.
- When copies are ordered: Lulu (printing and shipping; receives the book's pages and the shipping details), Stripe (payment; we never see card numbers) and Postmark (order emails).
How long we keep it

Your controls
- Members: your personal page lets you change your name, quote and photo, and Remove me from this yearbook deletes your entry, photos and votes at once. If the organizer added you, they send you that page's link; you can remove yourself there. Lost your link? Ask the organizer for a new one.
- Organizers: in ChatGPT or the card you can approve, hide or remove anyone, and delete the whole yearbook.
- Anyone: email yrbk@ambientapp.ai to see, correct or delete data about you, including a photo someone else added. We answer within 30 days.
Ages
Yrbk is for people aged 13 and over. If you're under 18, check with a parent or guardian before adding your photo. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13; if you think we have, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
We'll update this page and its date when our practices change.
